My husband and I have finally open up our cast iron skillet that we got as a wedding gift in May….finally! Well, as excited as we were to start cooking with it we did some research on cast iron cooking and found that it needed to be seasoned first and occasional after that as well. We finally seasoned our pan, which takes a good amount of time which we did not know and were starting to get hungrier by the minute!

Being new to cooking for the two of us and cooking in general we were tired with the same old easy chicken recipes and wanted to try something new. We found some delicious Sirloin Steak slabs at the store and knew this was just the change that we needed!

We didn’t know that we wanted steak bites till we got home, but it was very easy to simple cut up the steak into little bites.

We knew from my husband’s dad who is a great cook, especially when it comes to meat, that we needed to heat up the cast iron before putting any food on and to use a little bit of oil and butter to cook it with. Of course the seasoning of the meat and anything else you would like to add to it!

These Steak Bites were so yummy and so incredibly quick and easy to prepare!

Here is how you can make these yummy Steak Bites:

 

How to make steak bites

 

  1. Cut up the sirloin steak into little bite size pieces and season them to your liking.

2. Cooked them up in your cast iron frying pan with some oil and butter.  Make sure your pan is nice and hot before you add your steak              bites.

3.  Let them lay on one side and sizzle, then flip them over to cook on the other side. Cook to your desired doneness. I usually like my                 meat medium to medium rare.

4. Serve with any side you would like, I cooked some mixed vegetables to go with it and it was delicious! Sweet or regular potatoes                      would also go great with it!
